ArcadeCon will see fans of Anime, Gaming, Music, Movies and Comic books coming together for a busy weekend in July. On the 13th to the 15th of July 2012 the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin 4 will play host to a number of exhibitions and events designed to keep you highly entertained both day and night.
Both Friday night and Saturday night will see events such as ‘The Night of the Living Cabaret’ and the ‘Nightmare Ball’ for patrons over 16 and for those under 16 you can also attend the slumber Jam.
During the day there is plenty to see in a number of difference categories. In the Gaming section visitors can check out the Retro & Console Room taking in everything from Atari’s up to modern 360’s. The Gaming section is not limited to just video and will also feature other games like board games, role playing games, table top games.
The Movie section will give you the chance to chat about movies based on comics while also getting the chance to meet Director of the Academy Award-nominated ‘The Secret of Kells’, Tomm Moore as he hosts a guest panel.
The Anime section will feature a Maid Café where you can take a break from the hectic floor and relax in the Steam Punk themed tea party. Amy King and Cosplay Ireland will be hosting a panel and if you are intending on making your own costume then there is a chance to show it off at the Cosplay Masquerade.
The Comic section will feature panels, as well as debates on some hot topics like Marvel V DC, a number of workshops will be held for those beginners and those just looking for some tips. There will also be some workshops in the music section as well as playing host to the Night of the living Caberet and the Nightmare ball.
