Hector the foulmouthed, alcoholic cop is back and worse than ever, Straandlooper and Telltale games bring the second part of the point and click Crappers Wreak trilogy back to the PC. When we left Hector he had successfully thwarted the evil sniper who had been terrorizing the town,  by carrying out his strange demands to clean up Crappy Wreak, but the story was left on a cliff hanger with Hector seconds from certain death.

Part two picks up directly and you are given a very brief tutorial to get you back into the swing of things, how to look at an item, pick it up or combine items together, such as creating a makeshift fishing pole out of some old wire and a plank of wood.

If you are new to the series it basically boils down to solving a number of puzzles by finding items left strewn around and figuring out which item works with which scenario. All the time the story is unfolding with hilarious consequences. It’s a very British sense of humour readers of the old mag Viz will notice similarities in both the comedy and the art style.

A good or bad addition depending on how you view Lambert, Hectors incompetent side kick is that he is now included as a playable character. This allows two things if you are stuck with one character you can still progress the story with the other and it adds an extra puzzle element to the game as both characters can swap items with each other to continue their particular puzzle. It’s a good idea as it give the each of the scenarios and extra element to think about.

Overall : Part 2 is pretty much more of the same, it’s just as funny, looks the same and plays pretty much the same. The puzzles and how to solve them does seem more logical though which was a plus and I didn’t need the hints quite as often. Part 2 is a good bit longer and the addition of the season pass which gives you access to all 3 parts makes this very good value.
