January can be a long and bleak month after the holiday splurges but as we are finally approach the final week and more importantly that long awaited payday it is time to start looking at the upcoming releases.

Dying Light is the big release next week, launching on multiple platforms (Gen 3, Gen 4 & PC) this is the latest Zombie FPS from Dead Island Developers Techland. Published by Warner Brothers and will release in January the 27th – 30thdepending on the region.

Grim Fandango: Re-mastered. Tim Schafer and Double Fine have re-mastered this classic 1998 Lucas Arts PC comedy adventure, with improvements to graphics, gameplay and audio. In addition to one of the best games ever made you also get a lot of cool bonus items such as commentary from the original development team. Double Fine are releasing this on PC on January 27th.

Raven’s Cry: This action adventure Pirate RPG sets to roll back the cuddly Pirate image found in modern pop culture to a more realistic ruthless vision. A traditional revenge story told on the high seas. Developed by Reality Pump Studios and published by Topware Interactive will release across all major platforms in January the 27th – 30th depending on the region.

Life is Strange: This five part episodic game sets out to revolutionise story based choice and consequences by allowing the player to rewind time itself impacting the past, present and future. Episode One launches across all major platforms on the 30th January.
