Sony’s E3 Press Conference
Sony details of the press conference below including Uncharted 2, NGP and the Move.
Sony open with an apology about the PS before moving on to the games.
First up a breath taking look at Uncharted 3 with Nathan Drake escaping a sinking ship and a deal with Subway to get early access to the multiplayer before a 3D video finishes the U3 showing.
Insomniac Games take to the stage with Resistance 3, including a live 3D demo and the game is looking to be far better than the previous title. It will also be playable with the Sharp Shooter.
3d then takes over with the announcement of 2 HD 3D remakes, God of war (PSP titles) and the long awaited ICO collection.
Affordable 3D gaming with a price announcement of 2 new options for entry into the 3D gaming world. With a 24″ Playstation branded TV that shows 2 images for split screen ! A pair of active shutter glasses that cost $69. A package including TV, Glasses a HDMI cable and a copy of Resistance 3 for $499
PS Move boasting 8.8 million sales world wide and by the end of this year will have 200 games ! 2K games then come on to show NBA2K12 on the Move, allowing players to control the NBA game with the move controller.
Sticking with the Move Medieval Moves shows off a cartoony adventure with motion controls.
Infamous 2 then takes the main focus with a stunning looking trailer for one of the years biggest games. Along with the news that LBP2 will also get a Move update before Starhawk from the makers of Warhawk is shown off.
Insomniac Games have been busy and announce a new Sly Cooper game for 2012.
Hilmar Petursson from CCP delivers the news that Dust 514 will be a PS3 exclusive that will take a console shooter and combine it with a PC online MMO. If you are familiar with Eve then you will be in for a treat.
Bioshock infinite shows off a trailer featuring plenty of jaw dropping gameplay. Then announce that it will incorporate the Move controller and the exciting news that a Bioshock game will come to the NGP.
A quick note on Saints Row the THird and Star Trek before Kazou Hirai takes the stage to run through the connectivity of the Playstation products and fans with Playstation Suite on Andriods and Tablets.
This is all a build up to the NGP news.
Main news is its now called the Vita which means “life”, it features dual sticks, front and rear touch pads, motion sensors and 2 camera’s one front and back. 2 models a Wi-fi one and a 3G version.
Uncharted Golden Abyss is the first Vita game shown and played live on the Vita with an insane looking game and the two control types both buttons and touch screen.
Ruin a multiplayer RPG for the Vista gets a gameplay demo and the news that it will work seamlessly on the PS3 you just save your game and then start it up on the PS3!
Mod nation racers, an entirely new version developed specifically for the VIta. A show a quick display of how to quickly create a track on the touch screen. Using the touch panel to create the mountains is a brilliant feature.
And that pretty much wraps up E3 for Sony a good showing indeed.
