Tekken 7 Announced!

Last week, we speculated whether a new Tekken game was on the way and, it turns out, we were right to do so!
Tekken 7 was announced this morning at the EVO tournament in Las Vegas and it will be powered by the Unreal Engine 4.

We have very little information on the game at present, though game director Katsuhiro Harada mentioned that, because the Unreal Engine was so easy to use, they would be able “to immediately bring Tekken 7 to any platform [they] desire.”
What this probably means is that, while Tekken 7 will almost certainly be arriving on PS4 and XBox One as expected, it is likely Namco have plans to release it on the Wii U as well.
Good news for Ninetendo fans!

Check out the trailer below, which focuses on a rivalry between Kazuya and Heihachi (big shocker there) but also teases the presence of another character: Kazuya’s mother.
