Yet another film licence but not the worst we have come across. If you have seen the movies then you know the score Jigsaw takes people hostage but only people of low moral fiber and puts them into situations where they will have to do unsavoury acts to escape.
In the game you play detective Trap the game opens with you all ready in trouble you are wearing the infamous metal head gear that after the timer runs out will snap back and rip your head in two! nice. A series of button presses will release it and you are into the game. You are stuck in a old run down lunatic asylum but your not alone. A lot of other people have been also locked in here. Some are stuck and you need to figure out puzzles and find different objects others are in need of a key to escape there own metal head gear. the key is of course inside you and the only way they can escape is to kill you.
So you get the picture you figure out puzzles while wandering around the dirty grubby corridors of this disused hospital while all the time getting video clues from Jigsaw.
A lot of the puzzles are well put together and do require some thinking to crack them others are just blind luck or trial and error to figure out what you need to do. For the most part the game does handle ok until it comes to the combat you need to press L2 to enter combat mode and then you have two attack types light and heavy both rarely work and you can spend a lot of time getting hit while your character just stands there doing nothing.

An ok game, if you are a big fan of the films then i think you will enjoy it, there is plenty of stuff from the movies and plenty of new tricks up Jigsaws sleeve. It reminded me of Manhunt or Condemned. Saw always fails to live up to the atmosphere that Condemned managed to create.
Fans of the films will like it others may enjoy it during one of those long months with limited big releases
