Big Push on For FranknJohn’s Kickstarter Campaign

FranknJohn’s KickStarter campaign is well under way, in fact it is heading into its final ten days so there is a big push to help secure the funding needed. FranknJohn is the second game to come from the talented Irish studio bitSmith Games who released the wonderful Ku Shroud of The Morrigan in 2013. Soon after that the team began work on their follow up title (which would become FranknJohn) and took an early build to GDC. Having received a lot of positive feedback  from fans and media the team decided to push ahead with the games development.

The game’s inspiration is very much steeped in old classic arena battles like Super Smash TV and Zombies ate my Neighbours, with newer influences coming from The Blinding of Isaac.

About The Game: 

Young FranknJohn is a failed experiment of a deranged scientist, Dr Harmin. He wakes, with no memory, bursting from his grave, with a head that can only stay on his body with the help of a chain. FranknJohn is far from helpless however, as his flaw becomes his strength – he can swing his head wildly round to smash away the plethora of strange creatures that roam the mansion.

Some key features in FranknJohn:

  • Experiment with dozens of Skullcaps that alter gameplay in many different ways
  • Randomly generated sprawling levels packed with items, collectables and secrets
  • Swappable body parts allow you customize your stats to your playstyle

  • Battle through four horrifying worlds and piece together the dark history of its occupants
  • Perma-death, challenging enemies and powerful bosses will keep you on your toes.
