Nintendo’s events at E3 were jammed with the hopes and dreams of a generations past and present – granted, many of them are coming in 2018 for Switch, so if folks are still lagging behind on Wii U’s, you may need to play a game of catch up; many of the games scheduled for later releases may not be optimized for Wii U.

However, we’ll not get into that now – what we have in our hands right now is some quality Nintendo fare for you to enjoy.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Explore an endless ocean of clouds, where the last remnants of civilisation live on the backs of colossal beasts called Titans. Experience the story of Rex and his new friend, Pyra, a mysterious being known as a Blade who grants him tremendous power. Together, search for Pyra’s long lost home Elysium, the ultimate paradise for all of humanity.

Super Mario Odyssey – Join Mario on a massive, globe-trotting 3D adventure and use his incredible new abilities to collect Moons so you can power up your airship, the Odyssey, and rescue Princess Peach from Bowser’s wedding plans! This sandbox-style 3D Mario adventure – the first since 1997’s beloved Super Mario 64 and 2002’s Nintendo GameCube classic Super Mario Sunshine – is packed with secrets and surprises, and with Mario’s new moves like cap throw, cap jump, and capture, you’ll have fun and exciting gameplay experiences unlike anything you’ve enjoyed in a Mario game before.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the epic fantasy from Bethesda Game Studios, arrives for Nintendo Switch. The legendary open-world adventure where you can be anyone and do anything, now allows you to play anywhere – at home on your TV or on the go. Metroid Prime 4 – 10 years after Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was released comes an announcement for a sequel, although it will be developed by a different team than the original. Little information is known about it, aside from a potential release in 2018.

Kirby – Kirby is back – and he’s finally on the Nintendo Switch console in HD! But this time, he’s not alone. Recruit enemies by hitting them with hearts, and gather helpers for a party of up to four characters. On top of that, you can join with up to three friends for a different kind of team-up action!

Yoshi – Lead Yoshi on a brand new adventure that will turn everything you’ve come to expect from side-scrolling games upside down. Explore a great, big world decorated like a miniature diorama in a new art style for the franchise, where each side-scrolling stage has the traditional front side as well as a flip side with different views and surprises.

Look for items throughout the stage as Yoshi heads to the goal. You can even join up with a friend!
