If you are looking to increase your brain power then who better to turn to than Einstein…and his buddy Robo….
In Einstein’s Brain Trainer you will play through a number of different mini games that will task your cerebral prowess by flexing its memory, visual, mathematical and logical cortex.
Very much in a similar style to the Brain Training title that appeared on Nintendo’s DS with each different mini game testing a different part of your brain. This time you also have a proper touch screen to interact with the game which makes the whole experience a far smother affair.
You have four main categories which are in turn split into six mini games within that context. For example the calculations category involves mini games such as simple maths, giving the right change, number order, empty equations, nearest neighbour and keep calculating. All of which are quite self-explanatory with simple maths involving a number of simple mathematical equations which appear above a small keypad. You must tap in the correct answer before the timer runs out.
One of the more abstract challenges is Point of view which gives you an elevation view and a plan view of a number of discarded coloured shapes. There are four possible camera angles and you must use your special awareness to guess which camera angle is giving the elevation view.
The social aspect is far for evident too, Brain Trainer can be played online or with the family by passing the iPad around, each member can have their own account and can test their brain fitness each day.
Overall many may think Einstein Brain Training is just another take on the DS game and to be fair it is similar but at the smae time much more, there are a number of better mini games in this title and when you factor in the price difference and the far superior platform Einstein is a much better option.
Brain training is an addictive past time, taking it on your iOS is the perfect platform.
