Evil Dead – First Official trailer (viewer discretion is advised)

The first trailer for the Evil Dead remake has just been released, and it looks like it is going to be one of the goriest and most horrific movies of 2013!

WARNING! The content of this trailer is very explicit and may be unsuitable for people of a sensitive disposition.

As you can see, this remake is very clearly following in the footsteps of the original Evil Dead movie, and NOT the hilarious Evil Dead II, which, technically, is also a remake.

Many tend to overlook the original film in favor of its critically acclaimed sequel. The original was intended to be an all out gorefest, and genuinely frightening. It had interesting elements but due to a lack of funds and very limited special effects, it is generally remembered for its comic value rather than anything else.

Looks like things are set to change.

Evil Dead is set for release on April 12th, 2013.
