Calibur 11 make an exciting array of hard cases for your favourite console, Both the Xbox360 and the PS3 can be kitted out in their protective coatings available in numerous colours. Calibur were on hand to showcase the latest models on the show floor at Gamescom last week. While they look good in the pictures it’s not until you see them in person do you appreciate how cool they are, in fact I can go as far as to say there is nothing on the market that comes close to this standard in both terms of style and practicality.
The strong durable and pretty sweet looking cases are fully customisable thanks to their hole technology that allows users to chop and change their design to suit their own personal taste. Stick on mines, grenades, spinning saws or even face masks whatever takes your fancy.
The hard plastic casing not only protects your console but it also improves the air flow and stability of the side standing machines. Improving its life span through reducing the internal temperature by letting more air flow through it, but also protecting it from getting knocked over and scratching your disks or much worse. Another bonus is the clip on method of attaching them, unlike console skins that are firmly stuck in place the Vaults can be removed by simply undoing the clamps should be require a change of colour.
Recently Calibur have released their Vault series which took a step up from the basic models by incorporating raised 3D images on the side. Just before Gamescom they announced probably the coolest one yet to go along with the launch of Gears of Wars 3 a brand new officially licensed Gears Vault . This time the skull on the side lights up and actually works with the game to reflect your health, as you die the red lights fade away.
Not content with just that news, at the show in Germany Calibur showed off their brand new Battlefield 3 vault full with CS grenade and Claymore Mine strapped to its side and decked out in camouflage. If you though the standard Vaults where impressive the Licensed ones will blow you away.
The licensed Vaults will launch at the same time as the games. They also had this really cool replica Lancer on show i’m not sure if you can buy it all i know is a want it !!!
