That’s right! The long-running horror series, which began back in 1999 on the original Playstation, is coming back for another installment and is currently working under the title Silent Hills!
Seeing how the series has dropped off a bit in recent years, this may not seem like exciting news.
That is, until you consider the rather epic collection of people involved…
Directing the game itself is Hideo Kojima, the genius behind the Metal Gear franchise. He is a man who is well versed in video-game narratives, and not opposed to bringing some utterly surreal gameplay elements to his games. Remember the Colonel’s Codec messages in MGS2?
Well, to add a bit of dark fantasy to this project, Kojima is teaming up with a Hollywood visionary. None other than the very twisted Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Pacific Rim).
And just to show that this is a franchise the pair are taking seriously, they have already taken on some notable talent to star in the game.
None other than the Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus!
Now if they can only bring Akira Yamaoka back for the music, we’d have a guaranteed knockout.
